Video Summary: How should we talk about the things we wish to avoid?
Story Description: The reason for the intelligent machines' disappearance was traced back to a prototype lost years ago, currently deep in the Hollow. But as it was her father's creation, Koleda was hesitant to retrieve it.
- Koleda: We might've had some trouble along the way, but we've recovered all three machines.
- Koleda: And with that, all the commissions Belobog assigned you have been completed. We were able to get out of that tough spot thanks to you.
- Koleda: Thanks again for your help, Phaethon.
- Koleda: Grace is analyzing the machines right now. With her skills, she should be able to find the reason th—
- Koleda: Uh, what? You got something to say?
The pile driver just mentioned the name "Khors"...
Your face just now...- (ProtagonistProtagonist): There's something on my mind. When the pile driver mentioned the name "Khors," you made (an oddan odd /
such a weirdsuch a weird) face... - Ben: Uh... Ah! Would you look at the time! President, if we don't go deal with that commission fee for (Mr.Mr. /
Ms.Ms.) Proxy now, we won't be able to transfer the money tomorrow... - Koleda: Ben, don't worry. It's okay.
- Koleda: If we don't tell them, the Proxy could just look it up online.
- Koleda: Besides, they helped us, and they're trustworthy. We don't have to avoid it.
- Koleda:' Proxy, you saw Anton on that show before, right?
- Koleda: Did the host mention years ago there was a scandal involving Belobog's president, who disappeared with a bunch of money?
- Koleda: Well, that president of Belobog was Khors. Khors Belobog.
- Koleda: So... yes — he was my father.
- Koleda: The night before the old capital fell, a large sum of money suddenly disappeared from Belobog's accounts, and the old man went missing.
- Koleda: PubSec investigated and said the financial burden of Belobog, coupled with the possibility the memorial square we were building at the time might not be completed on schedule, caused Khors to embezzle the public funds and run.
- Koleda: Belobog Industries had an extremely hard time because of one old man's irresponsible behavior, but... we're back on our feet now.
Sorry for making you talk about this...
- (ProtagonistProtagonist): (Sorry for bringing up bad memories...Sorry for bringing up bad memories... /
Seems like I brought up some bad memories...Seems like I brought up some bad memories...) - Koleda: Heh, it's fine.
- Koleda: I stopped thinking of Khors Belobog as my father a long time ago.
- Koleda: The Belobog of today has nothing to do with that selfish piece of trash.
- (ProtagonistProtagonist): (Sorry for bringing up bad memories...Sorry for bringing up bad memories... /
I'm glad that you've turned the corner.
- (ProtagonistProtagonist): (You've reallyYou've really /
Koleda, you'veKoleda, you've) been through a lot. I'm glad that you've turned the corner. - Koleda: Thank you.
- Koleda: At any rate, I stopped thinking of Khors Belobog as my father a long time ago.
- Koleda: The Belobog of today has nothing to do with that selfish piece of trash.
- (ProtagonistProtagonist): (You've reallyYou've really /
- Grace: Koleda! How could you talk about your own father like that?!
- Grace: It's true a large sum of money was missing from the company's books, but no one can prove it was Uncle Khors who took it!
- Grace: The "investigation result" and the claims he absconded with the money were all just PubSec's speculation!
- Grace: I know all the bad press brought about by Public Security and losing your father hurt you, but you shouldn't resent your own father like that!
- Grace: You were too young to spend much time with him before he went missing. To us, you don't know how wonderful he—
- Koleda: You're the one who doesn't know anything!
- Grace: —!!
- Koleda: ...
- Ben: Uhh, I think we're getting further away from just explaining to (Mr.Mr. /
MissMiss) Proxy who Khors was... - Ben: And Grace, weren't you and Anton working on those three machines? What are you doing here?
- Grace: I came over to tell you I found a clue as to why they ran off.
- Ben: Oh, really? Great!
- Grace: Mmm. After examining their logic cores, I found they'd all picked up the same signal from deep within a Hollow before wandering off.
- Grace: The signal's identification code format is the same we use in the company. When decoded the text reads: BLG_prototype.
- Grace: That's right, Koleda. Unbelievable as it sounds, the signal seems to be coming from the original prototype.
The prototype?
- (ProtagonistProtagonist): The prototype? (Could you explain?Could you explain? /
What's that?What's that?)
- (ProtagonistProtagonist): The prototype? (Could you explain?Could you explain? /
What's that?
- (ProtagonistProtagonist): The prototype... Does it also belong to Belobog Industries?
- Ben: It was the first smart machinery made before the former president went missing.
- Ben: Our production line was somewhat outdated at the time, so we couldn't complete manufacturing independently. Apart from the core parts, everything else was outsourced to another manufacturer and produced according to our blueprint.
- Ben: Unfortunately, the old capital fell before the final delivery payment was made, even though the machine was completed.
- Ben: The manufacturer was swallowed by the Hollow and lost forever, along with the prototype.
- Grace: But it looks like the prototype is out there somewhere and maintains some level of functionality.
- Grace: You may not like what I'm about to say, sweet pea — I know you don't want to drag up the past, but that prototype is still company property. That prototype logic core has a lot of value.
- Grace: So what are you gonna do? Go get it back, or pretend it doesn't exist?
- Koleda hangs her head without making a sound.
- Anton: Calm down guys. There's no need to jump to conclusions today.
- Anton: Even the most durable components can experience mechanical fatigue, not to mention we're all human. After running around in the Hollow for so long, both our bodies and minds need relaxation.
- Ben: Uh... Anton's right. It's getting late, and you must be tired. (Mr.Mr. /
MissMiss) Proxy, please, go back and rest for today. - Ben: If we decide to head into the Hollow to look for the prototype, we'll be sure to contact you for assistance.
