You spent more than expected in personnel and time, but at least achieved a decent ending... The abnormal expansion of the Companion Hollow has gradually been contained. All that remains now is for you to clean up the aftermath.
You will never abandon the victims lost within the Hollow, because deep down you know the only secret to a legendary Proxy never losing their way is to never let go of a single hand reaching out to you.
And so, you accept one rescue commission after another, like attempting to locate a dark, unlit planet adrift in the endless cosmos.
...But those are long, remarkable tales for another time.

You feel like you've been falling off a cliff ever since that day when the Hollow Disaster nearly swallowed half the city.
As a Proxy, you connect everyone inside and outside the Hollows.
When your rope snaps because you weren't careful enough, everyone else falls with you.
As you clean up the aftermath, you wonder which fleeting opportunity you might have missed... then you decide to stop searching for an answer, because it's meaningless.
The Hollows are chaotic and disordered; you never needed to understand them, just to conquer them.
Only, it has to be done before the entire city collapses.

Welcome back, Phaethon!
You may wonder why such a legendary title can once again be safely spoken in the light of day... but the truth is clear: you brought down the Hollow where the Exaltists dark plot was brewing, restoring peace, prosperity, and safety to New Eridu. Such an accomplishment is enough to erase every stigma.
As for "The Secret of the Old Capital's Fall" and "The Missing Teacher"... forget about them! Not all truths need to be revealed at once, besides, you wouldn't want to work overtime every day.
Now, your tasks are to return to the video store on Sixth Street and handle the flood of membership applications.
Then upgrade your favorite Supreme Assistant with more advanced smart devices — you won't have to worry about electric bills anymore, as people will be fighting to cover your expenses.
Finally, attend news interviews and promotional shoots with your loved ones.
...Oh, almost forgot! You'll need to take calls from TOPS Alliance headhunters, only to casually decline their high-paying offers, claiming you just want an ordinary life.
In the future, you'll continue your journey to save the city. But whenever you return to the video store, you'll hear all of Sixth Street whispering your name:
The Legendary Proxy — "Phaethon".

Thanks to you and the Angels of Delusion exposing the culprit's scheme, he failed to destroy the evidence and paid the price for his crimes. You've also come to realize that becoming a famous detective isn't something you can pull off solo—compared to dramatically announcing the truth in glorious isolation, discovering it alongside your crew is way more satisfying.
Oh, and let's not forget your Supreme Assistant, the universe's most powerful AI! As long as you've got this squad by your side, you're confident you can shine a light on any darkness and uncover the truth hiding behind it—though you're still not sure why you're moonlighting as a detective in the first place. But hey, adding another side gig on top of being a Proxy and running the video store helps cover that Supreme Assistant's sky-high electricity bills that match her capabilities, plus it helps the Angels of Delusion make ends meet when live tickets aren't exactly flying off the shelves.
In short, you and the Angels of Delusion have embarked on a path of seeking truth in the Hollows—but most importantly, raking in that sweet extra cash.
All's well that ends well. Congrats all around.

That mysterious client vanished without a trace, like he was never even there. Same with the evidence—gone. You got out of the Hollow the second things went south, figuring there'd be time to fix this mess later—but no matter how hard you searched, the path to that clue just... disappeared. Like it got swallowed up along with whatever the client was after, buried deep in the Hollow's void.
You tried moving on, getting back to work, but the hunger for the truth kept gnawing at you, relentless.
Seeking some kind of peace, you decided to chase down the secrets behind it all... but those secrets? They're like shapes in the fog—reality's twisted them up so bad, you can't even tell what they used to look like anymore.
If you could get another shot at it... nah, what's the point? Playing out all those "what-ifs" in your head won't change a darn thing.
