Operation Matrix is one of the game modes available in Lost Void.

Rules

· In Operation Matrix, Proxies will explore Hollows in different environments. In certain explorations, Proxies can obtain initial supplies;
· In Operation Matrix, a 4th Agent is now available. This 4th Agent is an Auxiliary Agent and will not participate in regular combat alongside your 3 Primary Agents, and nor can they activate the Primary Agents' Additional Abilities. Proxies can summon Auxiliary Agents during Hollow exploration using Auxiliary Assist;
· Auxiliary Agents can only be selected from a designated pool, and only trial characters may be used. Upon selecting your Auxiliary Agent, you will also receive the corresponding initial Auxiliary Gear to start off with;
· During Hollow exploration, you may also obtain Auxiliary Gear from other Auxiliary Agents, though the Auxiliary Assist of these other Auxiliary Agents will not take effect;
· General Gear and the Resonia and Cards of corresponding factions will no longer drop;
· Combat Potential does not apply in Operation Matrix;
· Obtaining initial items in Exclusive Supplies does not unlock them in the Collection system.

Overview

Operation Matrix is a rogue-like game mode in which the player must progress through different stages, collecting various Resonia to increase Agents' strength in battle. In this mode, General Gear is replaced by Auxiliary Gear, and pressing the R assist button with enough energy will perform an Auxiliary Attack. As with Task Force Investigation, one Tactical Prism Program can be chosen at the start of the challenge. Each challenge consists of three map floors with four to five stages per floor, culminating in a boss fight at the end of each floor.

Unlike Battlefront Purge, there are no selectable difficulty levels, so each challenge rewards the same amount of Shadow Crystal Data Shadow Crystal Data (excluding any Ether Activity increases).

Specialty of the Week

Operation Matrix features a different stage each week, which affects gameplay in different ways. There are nine themed stages in total.

· Initial Barrier - Chaos Version: Upon entering a Combat area, enemy units gain a shield equal to 10% of their Max HP.
· Adrenaline - Chaos Version: When enemy units' HP falls below 50%, their DMG dealt increases by 20%.
· Opening Thunderstrike - Chaos Version: When entering the battlefield, Agent HP decreases by 75%.
· Triple Buffering - Chaos Version: After entering Boss Battle area, for the first 20 seconds, Boss enemy DMG taken decreases by 50%.

Supply stations only offer temporary supplies. Explore with caution:
· Start with 1 Rank A/B Auxiliary Resonium of every type.
· Start with Generous Dividend - Enhanced: Gear Coin earnings during exploration increases by 50%.

Icon Operation Matrix Candle in the Wind Candle in the Wind · A peculiar Card has been found at the HIA Depot: During combat, Agents' Max HP cannot exceed 30% and their DMG taken increases by 50%. At the same time, all Agents receive buffs: Attacks are guaranteed to critical hit, ATK increases by 100%, Sheer DMG increases by 50%, and Anomaly Proficiency increases by 400. The Agent's CRIT Rate is also converted into CRIT DMG at a certain ratio.
· Carrying this Card into the Hollow will undoubtedly be extremely perilous — So, the depot has also prepared 8 Ether Dewdrops.
· Friendly Talk areas no longer provide HP Recovery.

· Subtle changes have occurred within the Hollow: The chance for Challenge - Time Trial and Combat - Coins to appear have increased. Meanwhile, Bangboo Store areas will no longer appear. Stores in Friendly Talk will no longer appear.

Ether Activity

Ether Activity Effects are selectable effects that enhance enemies or otherwise add detriments to gameplay. Each activity effect selected increases the intensity level by 1, and increases the amount of Shadow Crystal Data gained by 500. Having 1 to 3 effects is Low Intensity, 4 to 6 is Medium, 7 to 9 is High, and 10 to 12 is Extreme.

Tactical Prism Programs

Tactical Prism Programs are tailored to specific Agents, enhancing their abilities and granting them additional effects in combat. The corresponding Agent must be present in the team in order to obtain their Program. One Tactical Prism Program can be chosen at the start of the challenge, and Programs for other Agents may be obtained from random exploration during the run.

The buff will end when he moves, returns to idle, or is knocked back or launched. When Billy enters Crouching Shot during his Basic Attack, he triggers Core Passive: Steady Shot. After maintaining the buff for 1.5 seconds, he enters the Starlight Descent state, during which his attacks ignore 30% of the target's Physical RES. Additionally, he continuously generates Decibels, starting at 10 points/second and gradually increasing to 25 points/second, reaching the maximum after 3 seconds. When friendly Agents inflict Attribute Anomaly on enemies in the Icy Mist, their ATK increases by 35% for 8s. When friendly Agents deal DMG and trigger a critical hit against enemies in the Icy Mist, the target's DEF is reduced by 10% for 8s. If the DMG dealt is Fire DMG, CRIT DMG increases by 64%.

Additionally, Tsukishiro Yanagi can interrupt the current action at any time to chain into Special Attack: Ruten. If an enemy attack is successfully blocked through Special Attack: Ruten, Tsukishiro Yanagi gains a 170 increase in Anomaly Proficiency for 12s. When executing a reactivated slash, if the attack hits an enemy, Tsukishiro Yanagi gains a Disorder DMG increase of 18%. Each reactivated slash grants 1 stack of this effect, up to a maximum of 4 stacks, lasting 12s, and repeated triggers reset the duration.

  • When squadmates inflict Attribute Anomaly on enemies, it can trigger Tsukishiro Yanagi's Quick Assist once every 6s. After triggering Quick Assist in this way, Tsukishiro Yanagi will hover in the air and continuously guide down lightning strike attacks, dealing Electric DMG with relatively high Electric Anomaly Buildup Rate. During the lightning strike attacks and subsequent downward attack, Tsukishiro Yanagi's ATK increases by 30% and Anomaly Proficiency increases by 150. The skill duration can be extended by repeatedly pressing or holding Special Attack Special Attack. When lightning strike attacks hit enemies, they increase the Attribute Anomaly and Disorder DMG dealt by 5% for all friendly units to the target, stacking up to 10 times and lasting 8s. Additionally, when the downward attack after the lightning strikes hits enemies, it triggers the previous character's Quick Assist.

Graceful Dance is an Aftershock and can be triggered once every 1s. Shadow Pursuit stack limit increases to 5, and when Tsukishiro Yanagi launches an EX Special Attack, gain 1 stack of Shadow Pursuit. When Tsukishiro Yanagi triggers Disorder, the whole squad's Aftershock DMG increases by 50% for 12s.

  • Significantly increases the continuous attack duration of Basic Attack: Salchow Jump. Triggering the Finishing Move when there is an incoming attack activates Perfect Dodge. When the continuous attack duration reaches maximum or Perfect Dodge is triggered by the Finishing Move, the Finishing Move will be enhanced to Salchow Jump - Airborne. When this skill is activated, own Physical Anomaly Buildup Rate increases by 70% for 15s. When any squad member inflicts an Attribute Anomaly on enemies, Jane will immediately enter the Passion state, gain one usage of Basic Attack: Salchow Jump, and restore Passion Stream to maximum. This effect can only be triggered once every 10s. When triggering a Perfect Dodge or activating a Defensive Assist, Passion Stream is greatly increased, replacing the Passion state with the Overload Passion state. In this state, Jane's ATK is additionally increased by 40%. Passion Stream will automatically decrease over time, and hitting enemies with attacks no longer consumes Passion Stream.

  • EX Special Attack: Aerial Sweep will be enhanced to EX Special Attack: Aerial Sweep - Onslaught. When this skill hits an enemy, it inflicts Wound. This state causes the affected target to take Physical DMG equal to 60% of Jane's ATK every second and accumulate Physical Anomaly Buildup, lasting 15s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. When Jane triggers Assault, increases the whole squad's Anomaly Proficiency by 50 and Anomaly Buildup Rate by 70% for 15s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. When other squad members attack enemies inflicted by Wound, Wound will be additionally triggered, dealing an instance of DMG based on that character's attribute equal to 120% of Jane's ATK and accumulating Anomaly Buildup. A single character can trigger this effect once every 3s.

  • When other squad members trigger Assault, Jane will launch an EX Special Attack centered around the target enemy, as an Aftershock. This effect can be triggered once every 8s. When any squad member triggers Assault, it reduces enemy's Physical RES by 15% and Physical Anomaly Buildup RES by 30% for 15s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. When other squad members trigger Jane's Aftershock twice through Playful Pursuit, on the next trigger, Jane will unleash a Chain Attack centered around the target enemy. This attack counts as an Aftershock. This Chain Attack gains 200% increased DMG and 200% increased Anomaly Buildup Rate.

    Level1: All Agents in the squad plus the Auxiliary Character's Anomaly Proficiency increases by 75, and they deal 30% more DMG with Attribute Anomalies.


    Level2: Vivian gains30 [sic] Auxiliary Assist Energy when an Agent inflicts an Attribute Anomaly. This effect can trigger only once every 6s.


    Level3: When an Agent in the squad or an Auxiliary Character inflicts the Abloom effect, the whole squad's PEN Ratio increases by 20%, and they deal 25% more DMG, for 30s.


    Level4: The Abloom effect triggered by Vivian's Auxiliary Assist has its damage multiplier increased to twice its original value and ignores 11% of the target's All-Attribute RES.

Hitting enemies inflicts the Collapse effect. Enemies inflicted with the Collapse effect have their Stunned duration extended by 3s after being Dazed. The Collapse effect ends when the enemies recover from the Stunned state. When Lighter's Auxiliary Assist hits normal/Elite/Boss enemies, it directly accumulates 100%/30%/15% Daze respectively.

    Level1: When an enemy is hit with Auxiliary Assist, the Daze they accumulate increases by 100%/40%/20% for normal enemies/Elite enemies/Bosses respectively.


    Level2: When an enemy has Collapse active, their All-Attribute RES is reduced by 30%.


    Level3: When an enemy is stunned, they get one stack of Weakened. This increases the DMG taken by that enemy from Agents in the squad and the Auxiliary Character by 50% while they are stunned. The Weakened effect stacks up to 3 times in a single enemy.


    Level4: When a/an normal enemy/Elite enemy/Boss with Collapse exits Stunned, they accumulate 100%/40%/20% Daze.

During Vital View, DMG dealt by all Agents in the squad increases by 70% for 10s.

    Level1: Upon entering combat, all Agents in the squad restore 52 Energy/65 Adrenaline.


    Level2: When Rina is in Vital View state triggered by her Auxiliary Assist, the active character recovers 8 Energy/10 Adrenaline every second.


    Level3: Reduces the Decibels required for all Agents to launch an Ultimate to 1,800.


    Level4: When an Agent activates their Ultimate while Rina is in Vital View triggered by her Auxiliary Assist, said instance of Vital View is extended by 2s. Each instance of Vital View may be extended up to 3 times.

    Level1: When the Agent makes their entrance on the field with a Chain Attack after any Auxiliary Assist ends, the next 3 instances of Quick Assist initiated by any Agent in the squad become Chain Attacks instead.


    Level2: While Nicole is in Vital View triggered by her Auxiliary Assist, one Quick Assist window will trigger every 3s, and DMG dealt with Chain Attacks increases by 80%.


    Level3: When the Agent activates a Chain Attack, the whole squad gains 150 Decibels. DMG dealt by Ultimates ignores an additional 20% DEF.


    Level4: Each time the Agent activates a Chain Attack while Nicole is in Vital View triggered by her Auxiliary Assist, all Agents in the squad gain 1 stack of Charge. This lasts 15s and stacks up to 5 times. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Each stack of Charge increases Ultimate DMG by 20%.

While in the Molten Edge status, Agents' CRIT DMG is increased by 50%, lasting 40s.

    Level1: When an Agent's attack hits an enemy, the Agent enters Bloodfury state for 2s. While in Bloodfury state, the Agent deals 75% more DMG, and if their current HP is also higher than 20%, 2% HP will be consumed every second.


    Level2: While in Molten Edge state, non-Rupture Agents gain 1,350 ATK, and Rupture Agents gain 1,125 Sheer Force.


    Level3: When fatal damage is taken for the first time in a battle, keeps HP from dropping below 1, preventing defeat for 2s as the Agent recovers 50% HP in this time.


    Level4: While in Molten Edge state, if their HP is higher than 40%, the Agent may consume 20% HP to unleash their Ultimate (even if they do not have enough Decibels otherwise to do so). Each Agent may trigger this effect once each time they enter Molten Edge.

While an Agent has Radiant Aegis, they have unlimited Assist Points , their DMG dealt increases by 35%, and DMG taken in a single instance cannot exceed the Shield amount.

    Level1: When Defensive Assist is triggered, the parried enemy immediately accumulates 5% Daze. This effect can trigger up to 3 times every 15s.


    Level2: When the Agent has Radiant Aegis, their Anti-Interrupt Level increases, and attacks ignore 20% of the enemy's All-Attribute RES.


    Level3: When Defensive Assist is triggered, inflicts 1 stack of Acuity on the enemy, stacking up to 5 times. Each stack of Acuity increases their Stun DMG Multiplier by 10%.


    Level4: Triggering Defensive Assist or Perfect Dodge grants an additional 1,000points for Radiant Aegis, with a maximum of 15,000 points obtainable for Radiant Aegis. The Agent's CRIT DMG is increased based on their current Radiant Aegis shield value, with every 1,000 points increasing said DMG by 5%.
