When you dismantle W-Engines, it's possible to preserve their core rotors if you handle them properly. These chips can then be used to craft new W-Engines or... simply kept as collectibles.
W-Engine Chip ×1 can be obtained after a successful completion of any Notorious Hunt stage.
W-Engine Chip ×3 can be obtained in total after achieving -Grade on the First Frontier, Second Frontier and Third Frontier of Shiyu Defense: Critical Node.
When Proxies dismantle A-Rank W-Engines via the Gadget Store or from Storage, they will obtain W-Engine Chips corresponding to the W-Engine's phase (example: Dismantling a Phase 3 W-Engine Box Cutter yields W-Engine Chip ×3).
Starting from Version 2.5, when Proxies dismantle A-Rank W-Engines via Sixth Street - Gadget Store - Recycle W-Engine and Storage - W-Engine Storage - Recycle W-Engine, they will obtain W-Engine Chips corresponding to the W-Engine's phase. (Example: Dismantling a Phase 3 W-Engine Box Cutter yields W-Engine Chip ×3)
If a Proxy dismantled A-Rank W-Engines above Phase 1 via Sixth Street - Gadget Store - Recycle W-Engine and Storage - W-Engine Storage - Recycle W-Engine before Version 2.5, the corresponding number of W-Engine Chips will be reissued via in-game mail after the Version 2.5 update based on the Proxy's historical dismantling records before 2025/12/31 23:59 (UTC+8). (Example: If 10 Phase 3 Box Cutter W-Engines were dismantled before Version 2.5, 20 W-Engine Chips will be reissued via mail.)
