zenless zone zero

Decibels are a resource in Zenless Zone Zero and a part of the Combat system. They are used to perform Ultimates. Decibels can be gained via various means.

Each Agent collects Decibels individually and independently of each other. By default, all Agents have a maximum Decibel limit of 3000 and an Ultimate cost of 3000 Decibels, which deducts that amount after using an Ultimate. Some effects can increase the maximum Decibel limit, or decrease the minimum Decibel cost required of Ultimates.

The amount of Decibels of the currently active Agent is displayed on the upper left section of the screen underneath the Agent Info Panel, while other Agents' amounts are displayed to the left of their Energy meter.

Gaining Decibels

Decibels can be gained through hitting enemies and through using specific Combat Skills.

Decibel Rating

Decibel Rating is displayed next to Decibels in the HUD at 1000 or more Decibels. It changes based on the number of Decibels the squad currently has. The color of the Decibel count and the text below the decibel changes based on the current Rating.

Decibel Text

The text below the Decibels is based off of the current Decibel Rating, specific attacks, or specific effects inflicted on enemies. Text based on specific attacks or effects will last for a limited amount of time and override Decibel Rating text. Decibel Rating text always displays on the screen, unless overridden or if the Decibel Rating is not met.
