Attribute Anomaly is a combat mechanism in Zenless Zone Zero.

Overview[]

When an Agent deals Attribute damage, they inflict a certain amount of Anomaly Buildup. Once a certain level of buildup is reached and the on-field Agent deals one more instance of buildup, the enemy will be afflicted with an Attribute Anomaly debuff of the corresponding Attribute. The enemy's current Attribute Anomaly Buildup is displayed to the right of the health bar.

An agent's Anomaly Proficiency allows them to deal more damage with Attribute Anomaly effects, while an agent's Anomaly Mastery allows them to build up Attribute Anomaly effects more quickly. Additionally, exploiting enemies' weakness to certain Attributes to trigger Attribute Anomaly will intensify the Anomaly effect.

Certain Additional Abilities can buff the duration of Anomalies and buff the Agents if an enemy has a certain Attribute Anomaly.

Effects by Attribute[]

Physical Physical[]

Tutorial Attribute Anomaly - Physical 1
Dealing Physical DMG to enemies accumulates the Physical Attribute Anomaly, which subsequently triggers Assault and Flinch effects when enough is accumulated. Assault interrupts the enemy and deals massive Physical DMG, while Flinch increases the Daze the target takes for a period of time.

Honed Edge Honed Edge[]

Dealing Honed Edge DMG to enemies accumulates Honed Edge Anomaly Buildup, which will also trigger Assault and Flinch. However, Attribute Anomalies triggered by Honed Edge DMG are counted separately from Attribute Anomalies triggered by Physical DMG, and can trigger Disorder when applied simultaneously.

Ice Ice[]

Tutorial Attribute Anomaly - Ice 1
Dealing Ice DMG to enemies accumulates the Ice Attribute Anomaly, which triggers the Freeze and Frostbite effects. Freeze prevents taking action for a certain period, and triggers Shatter at the end of the effect, dealing Ice DMG. The Frostbite effect increases the CRIT DMG taken by the target for a period of time.

Frost Frost[]

Dealing Frost DMG to enemies accumulates Frost Anomaly Buildup, which will also trigger Freeze and Frostbite. However, Attribute Anomalies triggered by Frost DMG are counted separately from Attribute Anomalies triggered by Ice DMG, and can trigger Disorder when applied simultaneously.

Fire Fire[]

Dealing Fire DMG to enemies accumulates Fire Anomaly Buildup, which triggers the Burn effect. The Burn effect deals continuous Fire DMG for a period of time. Inflicting Burn on enemies weak to Fire DMG can interrupt their actions.

Electric Electric[]

Dealing Electric DMG to enemies accumulates Electric Anomaly Buildup, which triggers the Shock effect. The Shock effect causes the target to intermittently suffer additional Electric DMG when attacked for a period of time. Inflicting Shock on enemies weak to Electric DMG can interrupt their actions.

Ether Ether[]

Dealing Ether DMG to enemies accumulates Ether Anomaly Buildup, which triggers the Corruption effect. The Corruption causes the target to suffer additional Ether DMG when attacked for a period of time. Inflicting Corruption on enemies weak to Ether DMG can interrupt their actions.

Auric Ink Auric Ink[]

Dealing Auric Ink DMG to enemies accumulates Auric Ink Anomaly Buildup, which will also trigger Corruption. However, Attribute Anomalies triggered by Auric Ink DMG are counted separately from Attribute Anomalies triggered by Ether DMG, and can trigger Disorder when applied simultaneously.

Wind Wind[]

Dealing Wind DMG inflicts Wind Anomaly Buildup on enemies and inflicts the Windswept state. Entering the Windswept state interrupts enemy actions and deals massive Wind DMG.
While enemies are in the Windswept state, direct Wind DMG they take is increased based on the Wind Anomaly trigger's Tempest Coefficient. The first time the enemy takes Fire DMG, Ice DMG, Electric DMG, Physical DMG, or Ether DMG, the corresponding Contamination effect is triggered. While under Contamination, both direct Wind DMG and direct DMG from the triggering Contamination attribute are increased based on the Wind Anomaly trigger's Tempest Coefficient. During a single Windswept instance, Contamination can only be triggered this way once.
After triggering Vortex, it is forcibly converted into the Vortex's corresponding Contamination state.

When applying a different type of Attribute Anomaly effect to an enemy already afflicted with an Attribute Anomaly, if one of the Anomaly effects is Windswept, the Disorder effect will not be triggered. Instead, the Vortex effect will be triggered: Upon triggering, the Attribute Anomaly other than Erosion will be finalized, dealing AoE Anomaly DMG of the corresponding attribute.
For a period of time after triggering Vortex, Vortex cannot be triggered again.

Disorder[]

Tutorial Attribute Anomaly - Disorder 1
Applying another type of Attribute Anomaly to an enemy that has already been afflicted with one overrides the original, and causes the Disorder effect. The Disorder effect is calculated based on the original Anomaly, dealing additional DMG and accumulating Daze.

Polarity Disorder[]

Polarity Disorder is a special Disorder effect that deals damage based on the original Disorder damage dealt to an enemy. It does not clear the enemy's active Attribute Anomaly when triggered. Currently, Polarity Disorder can only be triggered by the Agents Tsukishiro Yanagi and Nangong Yu.

  • Disorder occurs when a new Attribute Anomaly replaces an existing one. The Anomaly Multiplier of Disorder depends on the type of Anomaly that has been replaced as well as the amount of time that has passed (in seconds) since its application.

Collision Potential
When EX Special Attack hits an enemy, one of three possible effects is randomly triggered for 5 seconds. This effect can trigger once every 0.3s. the same types of effects cannot stack. Repeated triggers reset the duration, allowing several effects to be active at once: Increases the equipper's ATK by 8~12.8%, increases the equipper's Anomaly Proficiency by 40~64, or increases the equipper's Anomaly Buildup Rate by 25~40%.

Upon activating a Dash Attack, gain 1 stack of Predatory Instinct. Each stack of Predatory Instinct increases the equipper's Physical DMG by 12~24% for 10s, stacking up to 3 times.
