Energy is a combat system in Zenless Zone Zero.
Overview
Energy is a resource used by most Agents to perform an EX Special Attack. During combat, each Agent's energy is displayed on the upper left section of the screen, as part of the Agent Info Panel. Rupture Agents do not use energy but instead use a similar resource named Adrenaline.
The maximum amount of energy is 120. The Energy requirement to launch EX Special Attacks is displayed as a red cursor above the Energy bar and is equal to 40, 60 or 80, depending on the agent.
Energy can be gained by damaging enemies with a Basic Attack, Dash Attack, Dodge Counter and Quick Assist. Energy is generated passively for all squad members according to their Energy Regen, provided that anyone in the squad in the last few seconds has dealt or received damage, performed Perfect Dodge or Defensive Assist. Additionally, many Commissions feature barrels of Ether, which can be destroyed to replenish Energy for deployed Agents.
The generation of Energy can be raised through certain Core Skills, W-Engines and Drive Discs.
Support Agents' Ultimates usually recover 10 energy to other squad members, and an additional 20 Energy to the next character to switch in.

During Hollow Zero exploration, players can acquire Resonium that buff Energy, or provide other buffs, depending on how much energy the Agent has.

Untold Beauty When any squad member enters the field through a Quick Assist, Chain Attack, Defensive Assist or Evasive Assist, the equipper gains 5~7 Energy. This effect can trigger once every 5s. When the equipper consumes 25 Energy or more, the damage dealt by all squad members increases by 10~16%, stacking up to 2 times, and lasting 20s. Repeated triggers refresh the duration. Only one instance of this effect can exist in the same squad. |
